Macy joined the girls at the nest........

a wee bit smaller than the Blythes, this Dal, Tezca, is wonderfully articulated

and her personality is just spunky.

She tries hard to tame her wild hair.......

The faeries are all a flutter over the new girls that have arrived.

Curious creatures with large, blinking eyes,
and oddly over sized heads.

The FaerieKeeper welcomed them both, of course,
she is always happy to make room for more....always room for more.

....taking them around and introducing them to one and all inside The Nest.

Zuzu, of course, came to instruct them immediately
as she keeps all Nest Dwellers in line.
(Or she likes to think so)
"hmmm...they seemed good spirited enough"

The excitement was at an all time high as preparations began
for the dark haired one to have her hair cut. That
was her first request of the Faeriekeeper as
she was weary of washing paint out of her hair.

FaerieKeeper chatted with the girls
and asked the fair haired one to help
as scissors snipped at long, dark hair.......

quietly, some of the Snatcher Faeries
sped off with handfuls of the soft, pretty hair
thinking it would be a cozy bed lining.

The dark haired creature, seemed pleased with her new look and asked to have a special
photo taken to send back home to her beloved Auntie Sophia
who had given her her first paints and brushes

and finally.....quietly she announces her name to all gathered round.

Hello Faerie Friends..........

I am gathering the sprites, elves, & faeries,

collecting bits and bows
and
everything that glitters,

to create wee friends, critters and little dresses

and will be back
soon.

here is a peek at a tiny crown

however, Olivia's friend

Little Lambie Lottie

ran off with it!!
She is such a true fae lambie
and loves sparkle so.

We keep close tabs on this rascal.

THE GATHERING

Saturday mornings are filled with talk of the week's events
and dreams of days ahead.

The littlest one of all, Olivia, recites dreamy poetry
while
The Faerie Keeper
gathered paints, brushes, glitter and glue in that back of the
peaceful cottage.

Visit Christy, a talented artist,
to see a beautiful portrait
she had to paint after visiting here.
She listened to her inner faerie.......the pink haired muse.

HOW SHE BEGAN

Her head with what the factory considers a completed 'face up'

Then I sent her to Michele Hardy who does lovely face ups......
as I really didn't want to experiment on her.

But this one felt special to me and I thought it might be best to leave it to
an experienced artist.

Here she is with her face up done and eyes in place. No upper lashes added at this point

and here she is with a pink wig and her lashes done.

and by changing her eyes a bit

Two distinct personalities.

That is just part of the appeal of these ball jointed dolls.

The tiny Obitsu (Olivia) was one thing. And, sure, she
came out quite well.......
I especially had great success with creating her wig
and will absolutely do another 27cm obitsu
